Habitat for Humanity Uganda (HFHU) is affiliated to Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), a non-profit and ecumenical Christian Organization operating in more than 70 Countries worldwide to improve people’s living conditions since 1976.

HFHU was established in Uganda in 1982 to help families build strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable shelter. Since then, HFHU has built, rehabilitated, repaired and improved over 40,000 houses in Uganda providing simple and affordable shelter to over 240,000 families.

HFHU has also supported over 2,000 youth to acquire vocational skills, and improved access to clean water, hygiene and sanitation; thereby positively impacting the lives of over 1.5 million people.

HFHU is seeking an individual with the willingness to affirm our core principles and values of Humility, Courage and Accountability, to fill the position of PARTNERSHIP AND RESOURCE MOBILIZATION MANAGER based at the National Office on Plot 1026, Lukadde Road, Kira Ward.

The Partnership and Resource Mobilization Manager manages all aspects of the business development efforts including prospecting and acquiring potential investors & donors locally as well as internationally through supporting fundraiser Global Foundations, Organizations and Institutions (GFOI), Resource Development (RD) and Global Fundraising Networks (GFN) countries that includes multiple income streams – such as foundations, governments, corporate, High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), etc and managing existing relationships. The position holder will work closely with HFHU National Director and Head of departments to develop effective strategies for fund raising with existing as well as newly established partnership structure.

The holder of the position will work with the teams across HFHI, AFR AO, and other external partners to deliver successful fundraising activities targeted at bilateral, multi-lateral, private, foundations, corporate and high net worth individuals (HNWI). This role is primarily responsible for the management, growth, and development of strategic funding relationships both existing and new. The role will leverage current key partnerships whilst building and assessing a pipeline of new partners to support HFHU agreed annual targets. The position holder will be responsible for ensuring that HFHU identify, engage, and influence key shelter and WASH stakeholders in Uganda responsible for and engaged in promoting HFHU program outcomes for vulnerable community. This includes collaboration with government, NGOs, UN, donors, Private sectors and other humanitarian coordination decision makers, shelter and WASH implementing partners, and large-scale development initiatives to improve shelter needs.
